Music Company is a band
created by students and taught by Miss Marcy is Sarasota. Boca Raton students are instructed privately and play at all performances
in Sarasota. Music Company performs twice per year at two large performances. In addition, Music Company
performs for many charitable organizations for their gala events, and and will begin playing for school and community
"gigs". Music Company performs throughout Sarasota at many locations and venues including the Van Wezel Theatre. Students are selected by Miss Marcy to participate in Music Company. Selection is based on focus,
talent, and enthusiasm. Music Company plays rock and roll, and Broadway musicals. Participants play: drums, guitar, bass,
keyboard, percussion, and harmonize vocals. Performances are themed and choreographed by Miss Marcy, who is the lead keyboard
player. Music Company students must be enrolled in private lessons at A Prelude to the Classics Music
Studio of Performing Arts. Schedule: Senior
Company (ages 10 to adult) Tuesdays 6PM to 6:15PM. Cost $100 per month.
Junior Company (ages 4 to 10) is held in Sarasota Mondays 6:45 PM to 7pm
and in Boca Raton on Thursdays 7:15-7:30PM.
Cost $100 per month(includes all extra rehearsal before each performance) Next performances: Boca Raton students will
perform at Steinway on Federal Highway in Boca Raton in December and April annually at the same location same time.
Sarasota performances are also held annually in December and April at TPC Prestancia on Palmer Ranch Parkway, Sarasota.
Students may attend either or both performances. Junior and Senior Music Company perform at all performances.
Each performance has a theme. Junior Company Theme's have included: 60's
music, Action Hero's, TV Theme Songs, "Classic Vinyl" History of Rock, and Broadyway Musicals, Jazz Fusion,
Disney, The Who "Tommy the Rock Opera", Holiday Theme including Transiberian Orchestra, Instrumental Classic Rock,
the Best of Rogers and Hammerstein, Wizard of OZ, Trolls... A sample of pieces performed by Senior Music Company include: Schools Out, Van Morrison,
Santana, Traffic,Free Falling, Closing Time Tom Petty, All Star Smashmouth, Wonderful Tonight Eric Clapton, We Will
Rock You, Addams Family, Pink Panther, Apologize, I'm A Believer, On Broadway, Green Day Medley, Beatles Medley, Taylor
Swift, Disney Medley, Wipe Out, Sounds of Silence, Simon and Garfunkle, Moody Blues, Nights in White Satin, Stairway to Heaven,
Led Zepplin, Someone Like You, Adele, Hurt,Evanescence, Drops of Jupiter, Train, Crimson and Clover, For Your Love, and A Little Less Conversation and Best of Broadway, Blues Brothers, Bruce
Springsteen, Santa Claus Is Comin To Town, Transiberian Orchestra arranged by Miss Marcy including: A Star to Follow,
Pachelbel's Canon, and Carol of the Bells, a full orchestration arranged by Miss Marcy of Tommy the Overature.
